I decided to keep the Fast Lanes again for myself since their my favorite style. Throughout the past month I’ve tried to spread a little extra kindness – giving myself some extra self-care, buying folks coffee, taking care of my friend’s cats (honestly, I would do this anyway – they’re so cute), letting someone with only a few items to cut in front of me at the grocery store. I really try to be kind whenever possible, but I feel like this campaign has encouraged me to have some extra observational awareness and look out for more kindness opportunities. Sometimes we’re so stuck in our world that, while we’re not being unkind, we are being unaware.
It’s taken me a while to decide who to gift my other pair to because there’s so many folks who deserve them. I’ve finally settled on a friend who probably needs a reminder to get up from her desk and head outside for a sunny walk as much as I do. I hope she puts these on her desk (like I do) as a reminder to pop them on and head outside for a walk with her dogs every once in a while. Sometimes I even allow myself to take meetings on my headphones while on a walk – SHOCKING, I know!
