#drinksonrailingsSome ups and downs running last weekend but ready to take all the energy into @grandmasmarathon training. Not every run is great but every run is worth it. Always working towards progress, not perfection. ⠀Hey @cleancult , thanks for the free cat box with my order! 😂 #cleancat #cleancult #catsofinstagram #catboxingIn my continued quest for progress, not perfection, as well as testing myself like an athlete, I had a run gait analysis from @teamwilpers on Saturday. Confirmed some suspicions as well as learned some new stuff about my current running form, biomechanics, imbalances, etc. It was great getting a full write-up with recommendations and I plan to get started ASAP! This was a great investment; I’ll be interested to do it again in a few months or year to see if any differences.Loved seeing some amazing folks IN PERSON this weekend at the @atlantatrackclub #atlantamarathonweekend. 5k last night was really fun but I’m pretty sure I was sun baked resulting in some leftover sun sickness today. Add in some REALLY humid temps and it was a fight every step of the way. Too many pitstops and tasting my breakfast for the second time 🤢 are not recommended but I’m really glad I kept trucking. I was about 30seconds per miles slower than I planned but it was still technically a PR (I’ve run several faster times during virtual events). It’s tough to feel like shit in a race but kinda motivating to get through the other side and realize what you can do on a “bad day”. After some good recovery and rehydration this week I’m now pretty excited to start officially training for @grandmasmarathon in June! I’m taking what I learned today and ready for the next chapter. Huzzah! See y’all in Duluth! It's another @BibRave Pride Friday! ⠀
