Time for some serious and important talk folks. Did you know that #MMIW stands for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women? Until recently I was not aware of the epidemic of violence against Indigenous People. For example, The CDC has reported for Native American women; murder is the third leading cause of death. The National Day of Awareness MMIW Virtual Run aims to amplify the voices of Indigenous Peoples and bring visibility to the epidemic of MMIW. Woohoo! The battle is far from over but I'm really looking forward to some hugs with my vaccinated friends and family. Did you know? Spring has sprung and UV exposure is the real deal, especially with increased marathon training miles.
