Toughest part of Buff? Picking from over a hundred designs. Vintage bikes FTW!

The UV Buff is at least the 4th Buff I’ve owned (I’ve lost various amounts on trails, travels, letting people borrow) and the 2nd I’ve reviewed as  BibRave Pro. Check out my first review of the Buff Merino Wool! If you read that review, you already know how I’ve owned many Buff’s and use them for pretty much everything: camping, dishtowel, cute headband, sweat rag, neck warmer, hat, face mask when skiing, etc. etc. Watch Buff show you themselves all the fabulous ways you can…Buff.

I actually got my first UV Buff last summer for a trip to Israel. It was great for protecting from the desert sun and, considering I barely slept and my hair was always shit, it kept me looking like a human for 2 weeks. Also, I’m married and there are several religious sites where it’s respectful for a married woman to cover her hair. The full UV Buff easily transitions to a full head covering.

I also used it on several summer ultramarathons. Best use for that? Dip it in ice water at every aid station and wear around your neck. AHHH FABULOUS. Here is where owning several Buff’s is key and my new UV Buff is a much needed additional to my collection; I’ve been known in the summer to wear a Buff on my head, on my neck, and on my wrist during hikes and trail runs. Triple threat baby. Keeps hair at bay in crazy humidity, keeps sweat out of eyes, and keeps sun off neck.

There are many events that give out Buff-like products but nothing compares to a real Buff. The knockoffs just don’t have the same quality and wicking/drying properties as the real deal. Stick with the real thing and save those freebies for dish rags. 😛

Final verdict: If you don’t have an entire dresser drawer full of various Buff products, you’re missing out.

What are other BibRave Pros saying?

  1. I have the merino wool buff and loved using it in the winter on my runs! I need to get some of the other types of Buffs and add to my collection, they work really well!
